On my return flight from Portland, Oregon, I had a stop in Minneapolis with a layover of about an hour or so. I was sitting at the gate for my next flight and happened to notice a group of people sitting two rows up with their backs towards me. There was a middle aged woman on the left, a man of similar age (who I took to be her husband) sitting in the middle and a younger man with long hair sitting on the right. I'd first noticed the younger man because he had a t-shirt with a wolf on the back of it. This group didn't appear to be family, but the intensity of their conversation with this young man was compelling me to watch.
The young man reached into a leather case and pulled out a large quartz crystal and placed it in the woman's hand. She held it for a few moments. I couldn't see if she gave it back or not. Then the woman took her husband's hand and the younger man placed his hand on top of theirs. They all bowed their heads as if in prayer. I saw a small human like figure fall down into their clasped hands and then a large, egg shaped energy field appeared above them. In a few moments they unclasped their hands and the husband and wife said thanks to the younger man and they all got up and got their things together to board another flight. When the younger man got up, he put on a western leather jacket with beading on it and a black southwestern type hat and I realized I was looking at a medicine man (healer). That was the first time I had ever actually seen healing energy and I felt really blessed to have been a witness to their encounter.

You know, I somehow feel this was an intentional healing thing for you as well. I've no idea what I'm talking about!
ReplyDeleteOh yes you do Jesa! LOL
ReplyDeleteThroughout my whole trip I felt as if something had healed in me that wouldn't have healed at home. This experience was part of that as well.
I'm glad you felt the healing of your trip. Perhaps part of it was about re-entering the larger world?
ReplyDeleteHealing comes in the most unexpected ways. And isn't it interesting that you also have a quartz crystal?
ReplyDeleteYes I suspect it was.
ReplyDeleteI thought that was more than mere coincidence myself.
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing experience. I am happy for you. Healing is wonderful a energy.
ReplyDeleteAs a healer I know.
:)
Imma doin' a happy dance and you know why!
ReplyDeleteI know that you know!
ReplyDeleteYes I know why LOL.
ReplyDelete;)
ReplyDeleteHi Cheryl. What a wonderful experience. I in no way doubt this happened, but have a question for you and esoterika. Does the healer, the quartz, or God/Jesus deserve credit for what you witnessed?
ReplyDeleteMy answer to that, smallcrop, though you didn't ask me, would be that the person being healed deserves most of the credit for doing the hard work that allows healing to take place. The rest are just facilitating a natural process.
ReplyDeleteHi Jesamac, I totally agree that the one being healed has to be open without reservations to be healed. I don't exactly understand "facilitating a natural process" though. Do you mean it's just something within all of us that we can do with assistance? Have a good day.
ReplyDeleteHealing is a built-in natural process for all of us. "Doing healing" is equally natural, but works best with a combination of talent and skill. It's just like music--with practice (and good teaching) people can be pretty good at it even without much talent, but talent definitely gives us a boost. I don't want to get complicated here :-) but perhaps it helps to note that we all heal ourselves repeatedly throughout our lives. Knowing how to boost that process beyond what "just happens" is the skill part. I taught hands-on healing for many years and never found anyone who couldn't learn to do it.
ReplyDeleteHi Smallcrop. Thanks for stopping by and asking the questions. I agree with what Jessica said about healing. As to who deserves credit for what I witnessed, I would just say that I was ready to see the energy and spirit/the universe/God/Goddess/Jesus/Buddha/Allah/Krishna, whatever one calls the supreme being made it possible.
ReplyDeletesmile Cheryl--you have been blessed to witness this--and happy to know you realize it goes much deeper than self.

ReplyDeleteDoesn't *everything* go much deeper than self? Inconceiveably deeper... :-)
ReplyDeleteYes it does Jesa, but not everyone notices.
