I Take It Back - 8/27/08

I take back the almost mean thing I said about AAA the other day. I've since discovered that their real worth isn't in emergency car repairs or towing, its discounts on everything else. The one year subscription to AAA service cost me $65.99. This week alone I've saved close to $170 dollars on AAA discounts I got at the service station, and my eye exam and new glasses at Lenscrafters! I know you can also get discounts on hotels and rental cars with that card too. Woohoo!! And the best part?? I don't have to use an AARP card which would remove any shadow of a doubt about my real age.

  1. I pay for AAA every year too. They have rescued me a few times but I have never paid any attention to the discounts.I think I'll start checking that out, though I don't suppose the disounts are on anything like groceries and garden supplies which are about the only things I buy.

  2. That's grand..I've used more AA service then what I paid in..that's for sure.
They are worthless for repairs, but towing and discounts on travel is da bomb.

  3. I'm glad to get the discounts, but I don't think they give them at the grocery store and garden supply store Sally, sorry. To save money on groceries you have to actually stop eating. :-)

  4. I've tried to convince my family that eating is and endless waste of money, not to mention that a large percentage of all mess is caused by food, but somehow they are not persuaded.

  5. Yeah, most people wouldn't be persuaded. I know I wouldn't.
