OK, I'll take some pictures and post them soon. I didn't do it when I posted this because the living room is still in chaos from moving things out of the way to make room for this. Its 63" wide and about 6 ft. tall. It came with 2 extra shelves that because of the size of my TV, I probably won't be able to get in there (unless my wonderful, beautiful children drill some more holes for the little support pins. Yes Bennett there is room for the other components which you'll see when I post a picture with the doors open.
The damage my son is alluding too is a little flaw in the finish of the back inside. Or maybe he was referring to the fact that the finish is "distressed".
OMG, I've been relegated to the position of "girl who must be distinguished by use of her last initial". What's next, you're just going to refer to me as "eight6753oh9"??? Thanks for the reply, Cheryl J!!! :-D
Now THAT his a beautiful armoire. You did the right thing by getting it before they made it obsolete. Terri and I were buying our dining room table and chairs piece meal until we found out they were going to discontinue the chairs...took out a loan and got the other 4 right away! Can't wait to see it in person..I'll be back in town again the middle to end of Sept..we'll get together then!
D those must have been some expensive chairs! I can't wait to see you again. Grettchen told me today we're all going to do dinner while you're in town.
I didn't leave the chat room, the darn thing wouldn't let me type! How frustrating to have good wishes sent your way and then have people assume you have disappeared when you are trying to answer. Now I know how a spirit must feel!!
Just because Mom says the baby doesn't to chores, doesn't mean the older siblings don't figure out a way to talk the baby into doing them!
Sliders rock!!! I love sliders, they allow me to move furniture around with ease all by myself. The trick is getting them under the bigger pieces, but once there its like magic. I wish everything came with sliders on them....well except for chairs, that might be dangerous.
Don't believe her for a minute! She's already told me that I have to sit in the kitchen at the kid's table for Thanksgiving because she's giving you my seat, Jen!!! lol...
hahahahahahahahahah.. What Jenny is neglecting to tell you is that she and I never graduated from the kids table... We kind of got screwed on that deal ;-)
Wow, that really didn't sound right, did it? lol...Dave is supposed to be over here right this minute picking me up so that we can attend our friend Sharon's birthday party...but instead, he is still at home (a good 30-35 minutes away from here) commenting on blogs as he waits for his jeans to dry.
Well not just Sharon's.. It's the closing of the deck party!!! And it's a birthday party for Sharon, Lisa and Nathan... I think they were giong to try to include me in that too since this is the closing of the deck party.. Hopefully they didnt ;-)
I thought it was for the summer birhdays. Don't we usually do the winter ones at Superbowl? If not, I'll suggest it to B so no one will feel left out. :)
whips? did someone say whips? ;-) Umm I was about umm 35 minutes late.. and we showed up at the party about an hour late. That's still considered fashionably late? Okay so what if we were the last people there.
Strange? I know that word all too well ...my family is very strange in many ways...hey we could swap strange stories...lol
So how was the field trip yesterday? I told David not to worry about the house because I would clean it my way when I get there...but you know how stubborn and hard headed he is.
I love it too!!! It's beautiful
ReplyDeleteIt is gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteWhy not take a picture of the one that's actually in your house???
ReplyDeleteTwo pictures, actually, because I was a bit curious if there are spaces for DVD players, etc.
ReplyDeleteI was going to ask the same question Jenny asked...but it is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIs it big? The picture makes it look smallish. Color is a rich warm tone.. I like it!
ReplyDeleteYeah and it came pre-damaged!!! Share the real pic mom!

Oh, and big thanks to my son Dave for reconnecting everything in the new cabinet so that they work!
ReplyDeleteDoesn't that boy have a JOB?
ReplyDeleteWow, that's bigger than I thought!
ReplyDeleteJen G., he came by after work.
ReplyDeleteI'm her favorite son ;-)
ReplyDeleteOMG, I've been relegated to the position of "girl who must be distinguished by use of her last initial". What's next, you're just going to refer to me as "eight6753oh9"??? Thanks for the reply, Cheryl J!!! :-D
ReplyDeleteThat might be better than "Hey You"!
ReplyDeleteHe's such a nice Boy!
ReplyDeletePoor Jenny, we could use my derivative, Yenny, for you! It has that latin flair, you know....hehehehe
ReplyDeleteI think Jen should change her blog ID to "girl who must be distinguished by use of her last initial". It has a nice ring to it.
ReplyDeletefishtalk1: yes he is.

ReplyDeleteokay, strike the "h" after THAT and make it "is" ...fat fingered it again.
ReplyDeleteI like the ring of "eight6753oh9" JenG...you'd think your mom would at least call you my DD (darling daughter) or something, huh? LOL
I dunno....*sniff, sniff*...maybe she's embarrassed for people to know we're related....
ReplyDeleteThe last time we did this it went over 100 comments.
ReplyDeleteWell, we've still got quite a ways to go, then, don't we? :-)
ReplyDeleteSo let's get going. Last I recall I was the adopted baby of the family.
ReplyDeleteI hope you read the handbook, Bennett...the baby has to do the dishes!!!
ReplyDeleteJust the dishes? Don't we have a few other chores we could throw in?
ReplyDeleteI'm sure we could come up with a few others.
ReplyDeleteSharon, you left the chat room before everyone started wishing you Happy Birthday. lol
Oh come on now, you know the baby doesn't have to do any chores because, well, she's the baby.
ReplyDeleteD those must have been some expensive chairs! I can't wait to see you again. Grettchen told me today we're all going to do dinner while you're in town.

ReplyDeleteJust because Mom says the baby doesn't to chores, doesn't mean the older siblings don't figure out a way to talk the baby into doing them!
Oh yeah, I forgot that dynamic about the evil older siblings!
ReplyDeleteSharon, interesting that on that site you got a lesson on how spirits must feel.
WOOHOO!! The real pics...
ReplyDeleteMom, can you please fix it so that you can't see that black cord hanging down beneath the entertainment center? It's bugging me!
ReplyDeleteOh wait, I'm sorry, I meant to direct that to Cheryl J.
ReplyDeleteI already did, if you look at the second picture. It was bugging me too.
ReplyDeleteAnd you didn't take a replacement picture???
ReplyDeleteNo I didn't sorry.
ReplyDeleteDoes this furniture have slippers?
ReplyDeleteThey are there until she makes me move the cable box .. Then we will probably take it off when we dont have to slide the darn heavy thing around.
ReplyDeleteOh, so they are basically just there to slide the piece around. I was wondering about that!
ReplyDeleteYes, my mother is the Queen of Sliders!
ReplyDeleteSo much so that she bought Jenny and I a slider kit too.
ReplyDeleteSliders rock!!! I love sliders, they allow me to move furniture around with ease all by myself. The trick is getting them under the bigger pieces, but once there its like magic. I wish everything came with sliders on them....well except for chairs, that might be dangerous.
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful! Now I feel bad because Jen is now Jen G...what next...lol
ReplyDeleteDon't feel bad we're just playing with her.
ReplyDeleteDon't believe her for a minute! She's already told me that I have to sit in the kitchen at the kid's table for Thanksgiving because she's giving you my seat, Jen!!! lol...
ReplyDeletehahahahahahahahahah.. What Jenny is neglecting to tell you is that she and I never graduated from the kids table... We kind of got screwed on that deal ;-)
ReplyDeleteDave, stop commenting on blogs and dry your pants!!!
ReplyDeleteWow, that really didn't sound right, did it? lol...Dave is supposed to be over here right this minute picking me up so that we can attend our friend Sharon's birthday party...but instead, he is still at home (a good 30-35 minutes away from here) commenting on blogs as he waits for his jeans to dry.

ReplyDeleteI hope so too, 'cause I didn't get you anything!!! lol
ReplyDeleteI never told you that I was giving Jen your seat at the table for Thanksgiving! I'm going to have to get a bigger kids table I guess.
ReplyDeleteDon't act like that's a new thing.. you've been relegated to the kiddie table for years!! hehehe
ReplyDeleteThe official title is closing of the deck party, and Lisa, Alan, Sharon, Pete and Andy birthday party.
ReplyDeleteAndy? Who the heck was Andy?
ReplyDeleteAndy is Stacy's brother, who couldn't attend but insisted that his name be on the cake.
ReplyDeleteYou forgot Dave (the other Dave)...his name was on the cake too.
ReplyDeleteYeah.. it wasn't on the cake for me.. but for him. My birthday isn't as important to the Veach's cause it falls outside the Deck party time frame.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was for the summer birhdays. Don't we usually do the winter ones at Superbowl? If not, I'll suggest it to B so no one will feel left out. :)
ReplyDeleteWow...I get to sit at the kids table too...I feel so young again...I think! So David how late was you picking Jenny up?
ReplyDeleteI promise he will be working on punctuality when i get there...shhh he does not know that either.
hehehe, I have a feeling he may find out! I'm sure you are going to whip him into shape! :)
ReplyDeletewhips? did someone say whips? ;-) Umm I was about umm 35 minutes late.. and we showed up at the party about an hour late. That's still considered fashionably late? Okay so what if we were the last people there.
ReplyDeleteYes Dave, the beatings will commence shortly!
ReplyDeleteDavid...what am I going to do with you? ..never mind, maybe you should not answer that...lol
ReplyDeleteSo I am looking forward to the kids table this year and meeting everyone!
Better brace yourself Jen, the whole family is a little bit strange. :-) We're looking forward to having you here.
ReplyDeleteWho you callin' strange, Cheryl J?
ReplyDeleteUs all Jen G.
ReplyDeleteWell, as I am the stranger referred to as Jen G, I am glad not to be a part of that group! What a bunch of weirdos you are! :-D
ReplyDeleteThe baby has been sleeping but is awake now. Beautiful pictures. Uh oh - I have been reading comments. Dishes?? Evil older siblings?? WHIPS?????? omg
ReplyDeleteThe first picture is 19th century grace and beauty. Open the doors for 21st century tech. Wow, I am impressed.
ReplyDeleteBennett that's probably why I like it closed.
ReplyDeleteFunny, I haven't seen it closed yet. lol
ReplyDeleteStrange? Odd? Weird? Who, me? Pah! I laugh in your general direction...
ReplyDeleteStrange? I know that word all too well ...my family is very strange in many ways...hey we could swap strange stories...lol
ReplyDeleteSo how was the field trip yesterday? I told David not to worry about the house because I would clean it my way when I get there...but you know how stubborn and hard headed he is.
Oh don't worry Jen, there is still lots for you to do. We were only allowed one day and like God we needed 7.
ReplyDeleteokay geesh.. it's not that bad people..
ReplyDeleteWait, I thought God only worked for 6 and then took Sunday off???
ReplyDeleteSo we're not God, we needed an additional day.
ReplyDeleteThis is so way a fun family.
ReplyDeleteI think even God would've needed an additional day. :-D Oops, sorry Dave...did I say that out loud?
ReplyDeleteOf course I feel the ability to duck might be an asset here.
ReplyDeleteIn this family its wise to show no weakness.
ReplyDeleteThanks Bennett I think its a fun family most of the time.
