Den:
I'll be leaving later this afternoon for a weekend women's retreat. Its a wooded location so I'm looking forward to seeing the leaves and just being in among the trees on what should be a beautiful fall weekend.
Have a good weekend yourselves.
p.s.
For Bennett who wanted to see the "painting" in the first picture. I think Megan forgot the "cool" color rule for a few minutes when the red crept in.
I hope that you have a peaceful and stimulating time on your retreat. The furniture is lovely. I am intrigued by the green picture I see on the wall to the right of the first picture.
ReplyDeleteThe Native American drum is magnificent.
ReplyDeleteThe furniture look beautiful in those rooms!
ReplyDeleteHUGS
Have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteThe furniture is gorgeous.I'm particularly partial to the hutch against the green wall.
Bennett, that is a self portrait my granddaughter did in an art class several years ago. They were supposed to use "cool" colors. Have you ever heard of "Indigo" children? I always thought she might be one of those so I found the picture fascinating. I just went and took a picture of that and will add above in a few minutes.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jen!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sally. I love that green too. It makes the furniture pop.
Bennett, I inherited the drum from a shaman friend of mine who died a few years ago.
Ahh what a great picture she did...I love that kid! I will have to look at it when I come over the next time.
ReplyDeleteThank you again for the wonderful pots and pans!!
Love you!
Oh how fascinating!! Thank you. This is a great picture. On so many levels. I have not heard of Indigo children, but I will Google them. I don't think (just a guess) she forgot the cool color rule. I think maybe she was wise enough to know that life is balance so she put some red in to balance it, but away from her cool-colored self. A remarkable picture from a remarkable child.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome Jen.
ReplyDeleteBennett thanks. She is a remarkable girl.
I love that hutch!!!! I am so glad it isn't still black ;) I like both of them you have great taste in furniture.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could find a group like you have, have a good time in the woods!
