Even though we celebrated yesterday, today is my son Dave's real birthday. I usually use number candles on our family cakes but didn't have 2 threes so I had to improvise. Of course now it looks like Dave turned 3,111. Well he does fantasize about being a time lord (Dr. Who).
Dave and Warren:

Daughter Jen (spent the day painting her living room...just wants this to be over):

Granddaughter Megan (always up for cake and ice cream):

I'm the one wielding the camera so I'm not in any of the shots. One would think I do that on purpose :-).
I think you do it on purpose!!
ReplyDeleteBtw, that is a very nice cake and I hope Dave had a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteWe all are like that ;-) The one with the camera holds all the power. Just remember Mom.. There can be only one ;-)
ReplyDeleteIf he had a *real* Mother she would have baked the cake herself. However, this cake was probably better than one the *real* Mother would bake.
ReplyDeleteThe truth is the cake is not there.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Dave! It looks like a lovely cake for a man 3111 years old.
ReplyDeleteHB Dave..that ..is not a big enough cake...lol. but it looks like something I can fight for.
ReplyDeleteYou could have smiled, Dave. Your face wouldn't have split in two despite your age.
ReplyDeleteI didn't even know she was about to take my picture..
ReplyDeleteI like the progression of Dave, compressed lips, Jenny, semi-smile, Megan, HAPPY!
ReplyDeleteyou make pretty babies (who in turn make pretty babies!!)
ReplyDeletelooking hot for a man of your age there dave!!
Wow, this post has generated some funny comments.
ReplyDeleteThanks Patti.
Thanks for posting that OH SO FLATTERING picture of me, mom. I'm sure to get many, many dates from that one!
ReplyDeleteThat's a good picture of you. Perhaps if you weren't always trying to hide from the camera, I could have gotten one of you smiling.
