For some reason over breakfast I started playing with putting our medical life to music for the holidays.  So just to get you in the mood for Christmas, sing along with me now (to the tune of "The Twelve Days of Christmas".  Enjoy

On the first day of Christmas, my good nurse gave to me:  a saline bag through an IV


 


On the second day of Christmas, my good nurse gave to me:  2 heated blankets


            And a saline bag through an IV


 


On the third day of Christmas, my good nurse gave to me: 3 needles sticking


            2 heated blankets


            And a saline bag through an IV


 


On the fourth day of Christmas, my good nurse gave to me: 4 hours waiting


3 needles sticking


2 heated blankets


            And a saline bag through an IV


           


On the fifth day of Christmas, my good nurse gave to me: 5 EKG's


            4 hours waiting


3 needles sticking


2 heated blankets


            And a saline bag through an IV


 


On the sixth day of Christmas, my good nurse gave to me: 6 ports a flushing


            5 EKG's


            4 hours waiting


3 needles sticking


2 heated blankets


            And a saline bag through an IV


 


On the seventh day of Christmas, my good nurse gave to me: 7 chemos dripping


6 ports a flushing


5 EKG's


            4 hours waiting


3 needles sticking


2 heated blankets

On the eighth day of Christmas, my good nurse gave to me: 8 tubes for blood draws


            7 chemos dripping


6 ports a flushing


5 EKG's


            4 hours waiting


3 needles sticking


2 heated blankets

On the nineth day of Christmas, my good nurse gave to me: 9 doctors looking


            8 tubes for blood draws


7 chemos dripping


6 ports a flushing


5 EKG's


            4 hours waiting


3 needles sticking

On the tenth day of Christmas, my good nurse gave to me: 10 labs reporting


            9 doctors looking


            8 tubes for blood draws


7 chemos dripping


6 ports a flushing

            4 hours waiting

On the eleventh day of Christmas, my good nurse gave to me: 11 shots a stinging


            10 labs reporting


9 doctors looking


            8 tubes for blood draws

6 ports a flushing

            4 hours waiting

On the twelth day of Christmas, my good nurse gave to me: 12 days on break


            11 shots a stinging


10 labs reporting


9 doctors looking


            8 tubes for blood draws


7 chemos dripping


6 ports a flushing


5 EKG's


            4 hours waiting

2 heated blankets

  1. I think it was awesome and you should patent that song for everyone that goes through what you two have been. So, how about a picture of how you made your house festive for the rest of us lazy people? I know you wanted to put up a tree for Warren..and I commend you for that..you are a great caretaker...give him a hug for me.

  2. You do realize this was last year's post right? I probably should put up some pictures....maybe later today after we get back from NIH. This may be out last visit there. Seems weird after all this time.
